KCCS Care Membership | No Diagnostic Fee, Priority Repair | Blue Springs
What's included

Everything a computer owner actually needs. Nothing you don't.

No diagnostic fee — ever

Bring it in as often as you need. We find the problem and give you a written quote at no charge. You only pay if you approve a repair.

Front of the bench queue

Member machines go ahead of walk-ins. When the shop is slammed, you're not waiting behind ten other people.

Your machine's history on file

We register your computer when you join. Every repair, every part, every quote is on record — so the next visit starts from what we already know, not from zero.

Endpoint protection included

The same business-grade security we run for companies, installed on your primary computer by our technicians. Not the free antivirus that came with it.

Member pricing

Discounted parts, upgrades, and on-site visits. The SSD upgrade that makes an old laptop feel new costs members less.

Same techs, every time

Two technicians, one shop. The person who diagnosed your computer is the person who fixes it and the person who picks up when you call.

The math

One visit pays for it. Everything after that is free money.

Most households bring a computer in about twice a year — a slowdown, a virus scare, a laptop that won't charge. Without Care, each visit starts with a $60 diagnostic before anything gets fixed. With Care, that line is $0. Every time.

Two visits and the membership has paid for itself — before you count the endpoint protection or the member pricing on the repairs themselves.

A typical year without CareCost
Two diagnosticsSlow laptop in March, won't-boot desktop in October$120
One "can you just look at it" visitDiagnostic on a printer or Wi-Fi problem$60
Endpoint protection, bought separatelyComparable business-grade license$40+
Same year as a member$149 — and you skipped the line

How it works

Three steps. Then you stop thinking about it.

1

Join online or at the counter

Secure Stripe checkout takes a minute. Or tell Phoenix at pickup and we'll add it to your ticket — today's diagnostic comes off the bill.

2

We register your computer

Your machine goes on file with its history. We install the endpoint protection at the shop. Nothing for you to manage.

3

Call, text, or bring it in

Something's wrong? Reach us at (816) 708-8822 or book a drop-off. Your machine goes to the front of the bench, and the diagnostic is $0.

Straight talk

Who Care is for — and who it isn't.

Care is a good deal if you…

  • Rely on your computer for work, school, or a home business
  • Have brought a machine in more than once in the last two years
  • Want someone you can call who already knows your setup
  • Have kids, parents, or a household with more than one computer
  • Would rather skip the line than wait behind walk-ins

Skip it if you…

  • Bought a new computer this year and haven't had a single issue
  • Only need one repair and never expect another — pay the $60 and move on
  • Are outside our service area and won't use the bench or on-site visits (mail-in customers: talk to us first)

We'd rather you buy the right thing than the expensive thing. If you're unsure, book a drop-off and ask.

Questions

What people ask before they join.

What exactly does "no diagnostic fee" mean?

Bring the computer in, we find the problem, and you get a written estimate with the exact cause and exact price — at no charge. You only pay if you approve a repair. Non-members pay $60 for that same step, every visit.

Does Care cover the cost of repairs and parts?

No. Care removes the diagnostic fee, moves you to the front of the queue, includes endpoint protection, and gives you member pricing on parts and on-site visits. Repairs are quoted and approved by you, same as always — just cheaper and faster.

Do you offer remote support?

No. Every repair is done in-house at the shop, on the bench, by the technician who diagnosed it. If you need help, call or text and we'll get you scheduled — members go to the front of the queue.

Can I cancel?

Monthly: yes, any time, from the Stripe link in your receipt or by calling the shop. Founding: it's an annual plan that renews at $149 unless you cancel before your renewal date. We'll email you before it renews.

What happens to the founding price if I cancel and come back?

The founding price is locked only while the membership stays active. If you cancel and rejoin later, you'll pay whatever the current rate is — and founding seats may be gone by then.

Does it cover more than one computer?

Care covers one primary computer. Add any additional computer for $79/year each — same benefits, same protection, same priority.

Is this a remote "tech support" company?

No. KC Computer Staff is a physical repair shop at 1200 NW South Outer Road, Suite 100, Blue Springs. Every repair is done in-house by the same two technicians. There is no call center and no remote-access support.

Does the 6-month fix guarantee still apply?

Yes — every repair we do is covered for six months, member or not. Care sits on top of that.

WHO'S WORKING ON YOUR COMPUTER

Two technicians. One shop. Every repair in-house.

Every repair is handled in-house by Connor and Phoenix. The technician diagnosing your machine is the one who fixes it, and the one who explains what was wrong.

KC Computer Staff is the residential division of SentraCore IT. The same technicians who manage business networks during the day apply that standard to your laptop.

Phoenix from KC Computer Staff was very knowledgeable and did a fantastic job diagnosing the issue our son was having with his PS5 and our internet. Apparently, the ATT tech failed to notice that his PS5 was set on a different hertz from the rest of our house. Which was causing him to have very low speeds with his gaming. A previous ATT tech had set up an alternate hertz (2.4) instead of (5) for our internet for whatever reason. Not being tech-savy, we were unaware of this. Having just moved in January, we went from Google Fiber to ATT Fiber. Not particularly happy with this. But as soon as we get Google Fiber for our neighborhood, we will be switching back. As I said, Phoenix did a great job explaining what the issue was and how he found it. KC Computer Staff is an excellent computer and gaming system repair store.

Got water damage on my MacBook Pro guys did a great job of assembling it and telling me exactly what happened and what was wrong with it and replace the logic board at a competitive price ran into a hiccup with the delivery date due to a faulty board being shipped to them, but they were great and if I have any other problems, I’ll be reaching out to them

I had lost the audio on my laptop, so I took it to KC Computer to diagnose and fix the problem. They discovered that my audio drivers were missing. They repaired the problem and replaced my hard drive which was showing signs of wear. I got my laptop back in two days and it has worked great since. The guys at the shop were courteous and informed. I was very happy with the service I received and would use them again in the future.

I was having issues with my laptop blackscreening on me. Called into KC Computer Tuesday afternoon and by Wednesday afternoon they had diagnosed the issue (overheating) and fixed the issue (cleaned out and reapplied thermal paste). I appreciated the speed of what they did and I felt ok with what they charged for my situation.

This is my second visit to KC Computer. On both occasions, Phoenix did an exemplary job on my Lenovo laptop. This is a great company to trust with your desktops and laptops.
