If your MacBook is covered by AppleCare+, check with Apple first, since a covered repair may cost you less there. Out of warranty, bring it here. You get a written quote within 24 hours, and you talk to the technician who actually does the work.
Most repairs never touch your data. If a repair means the drive has to be erased, we tell you before we start. Back up first if you can. If you can’t, tell us at drop-off and we’ll get your files copied off first.
