Consent for SMS Communications

By providing your phone number and opting in, you agree to receive text messages from KC Computer Staff. Your phone number and consent are kept confidential and are never sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes. Consent information is used solely to communicate with you as described below.

Types of SMS Communications

Depending on the consent you provide, you may receive:

  • Service messages: repair status updates (device received, estimate ready, repair complete), shipping and pickup notifications, appointment reminders, and follow-ups about your completed service.
  • Promotional messages: special offers, seasonal service reminders (such as tune-ups or backup checkups), and news from KC Computer Staff. Promotional messages are sent only to customers who separately opt in to receive them.

Service: “KC Computer Staff: Your repair estimate is ready (Ticket #4521). Check your email to review & approve — no work starts without your OK. Questions? Call 816-708-8822. Reply STOP to opt out.”

Promotional: “KC Computer Staff: Fall tune-up special — $20 off thermal service through Oct 31. Book: kccomputerstaff.com/contact. Reply STOP to opt out.”

Standard Messaging Disclosures

  • To opt out of SMS communications, simply reply with “STOP.”
  • For assistance or inquiries, reply with “HELP.”

Message Frequency

Service messages vary by job — a typical repair generates 2–6 texts over the course of the service. Promotional messages, for customers who opt in, are sent approximately 2–4 times per month.

How to Opt In

You may opt in to service messages, promotional messages, or both by:

  1. Checking the corresponding consent box on one of our online forms
  2. Verbally, when speaking with us by phone or in the shop
  3. On a paper intake form in our shop.
